Affordable Community Education receives much needed computer

Hannibal, MO – Affordable Community Education has received the opportunity to do early Spring cleaning this year. With the help of ETC Computerland of Quincy, IL, the non-profit organization has won a monthly giveaway program that awarded them a Hewlett-Packard computer worth $600.

The computer is part of ETC Computerland’s monthly giveaway program, appropriately named GIFT. GIFT benefits local charitable and service organizations like Affordable Community Education.

ACE has launched a $4.5 million campaign to establish a permanent community college campus for Moberly Area Community College (MACC) Hannibal Area Higher Education Center. The donated computer will allow ACE staff to more productively conduct day-today business activities.

ACE is a citizen group interested in helping to expand college classes in the Hannibal area. The realization is that there is a need for continued education in our area. ACE, while teaming up with MACC, is trying to bring a cost effective option to students who want affordable community education.
